Tire manufacturer ZC Rubber has appointed Ákos Barcsik as the new deputy general manager of ZC Rubber Europe.

Barcsik brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the automotive and tire sectors. He joined ZC Rubber in 2017 as a field engineer manager before becoming sales director of ZC Rubber Europe in 2021 where he helped to develop the second-generation Westlake brand of truck tires.

In his new position, Barcsik will be responsible for the development of truck and bus radial tires for the European market and overseeing overall sales in Europe.

ZC Rubber Europe states that with Barcsik as European sales director, its sales network has grown significantly and it has achieved OE fitments with several commercial vehicle OEMs.

“Ákos has proven to be a valuable asset to our European team thanks to his diverse expertise and depth of industry experience,” said a ZC Rubber spokesperson. “We are confident that we will have more success in the European market as Ákos takes on the role of directing the company’s presence in this region.”
