Steve Hoeft has been appointed president of Bridgestone’s Commercial Truck Group, assuming the position immediately. The Commercial Truck Group also includes Bridgestone’s Truck & Bus Radial (TBR) business.

Hoeft joined Bridgestone in 2017 and has held the position of chief operating officer for tire maker’s Commercial Truck Group. He succeeds Chris Ripani who led the Commercial Truck Group since 2020.

In his new position Hoeft will set Bridgestone’s market strategy for the Bridgestone and Firestone commercial TBR business. He will also oversee a team that works with commercial OEMs and fleet customers to deliver products, services and solutions that improve safety and efficiency, maximize vehicle uptime and increase sustainability.

Before joining Bridgestone, Hoeft worked for Brinks as the senior vice president and general manager of operations and product development, where he was responsible for all US and Canadian operations. Hoeft holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleary University, Michigan and an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

“Steve is an excellent leader and has been an integral part of the Commercial Truck Group leadership team for the last several years,” said Riccardo Cichi, president, core tire and chief sales officer, Bridgestone Americas.

“As we continue our journey to become a world leader in sustainable mobility solutions, the commercial truck group will play a vital role with strategic partnerships and innovative solutions that propel Bridgestone into the future. We look forward to continued success under his leadership.”
