Tire and wheel supplier Trelleborg Wheel Systems has launched its most recent range of tires for forklift operations, the XP800. The new product line, the company states, provides excellent performance in medium intensity material-handling applications.

“In today’s multitude of material-handling operations, having the right solution is key to maximizing efficiency,” commented Luca Sabelli, product manager, material handling, Trelleborg Wheel Systems. “At Trelleborg we have developed a unique rating system with easy to recognize labels to help customers to effortlessly identify which tire suits their needs according to the application’s intensity. The XP800 is specifically designed to be the perfect choice for medium-intensity applications, delivering a solid performance and minimizing downtime to keep costs under control.”

The XP800 aims to enhance indoor and outdoor performance and productivity due to its extra-wide tread design and a unique profile to help minimize vibrations and subsequently improve vehicle stability and handling attributes during indoor operations. A lateral block design with deep lugs aids in increasing traction for outdoor use and tire service life has also been improved thanks to an extra-deep tread pattern. Within the tire, a sustainable fiber compound layer and an optimized tread design help to provide better performance.

Two different XP800 compounds are currently available: a multipurpose black compound with improved rolling resistance and performance, and a non-marking white version to optimize heat dissipation.

Multiple sizes of the XP800 are to be made available, including low-aspect ratios and 20in options for larger material-handling operations.
