Tire testing specialist Dufournier – consisting of Dufournier Industries and Dufournier Technologies – is at Tire Technology Expo in Hannover, Germany to speak with fellow exhibitors and visitors about its latest offerings, including a new technical tire database currently under development, called the Data-Tires interface.

The tire database consists of tire test performances and a detailed view of additional tires tested under equivalent conditions, enabling vehicle OEMs and tire manufacturers to make thorough comparisons of products. Dufournier predicts that the project will be of particular interest to the marketing and R&D departments of companies within these industries.

Dufournier Industries is also providing details on its indoor and outdoor tire testing machines for standard and R&D tests on C1, C2 and C3 tires. This includes information on Dufournier Technologies indoor testing equipment, which enables the company to deliver R117 Wet Grip tests, rolling resistance approval tests and Dufournier standard tests in ISO conditions all year round.

“The car makers’ goal is to develop the best vehicles,” explained Arnaud Dufournier, CEO of Dufournier Technologies. “Selecting the most appropriate tire, aligned with the vehicle’s performance, requires a thorough evaluation of the expanding tire options. “Tire manufacturers aim to develop the best tire. To ensure their products stand out, they have to compare them with the tire offering based on multi-criteria performance. To address these challenges, we are excited to introduce a tire performance database.”

Dufournier continued, “First, we will examine various proposed criteria. Second, we will focus on automated indoor measurement methods used at our testing center and showcase our analysis capabilities. Last, we will present the Data-Tires interface.”
