Pirelli returned to work on Monday, May 4, while protecting the health and safety of employees.

To protect employees from COVID-19, Pirelli is collaborating with the University of Milan to validate operating procedures and define healthcare protocols with screening for preventative purposes.

Restarting activities will happen gradually at the Settimo Torinese plant, with production levels at a reduced rate. At the Bollate plant, which focuses on the Velo business, only essential activities will restart in May with a few employees.

Facemasks will be produced in Bollate for employees and their families to eliminate the risk of shortages from third party suppliers.

All factories will be sanitized, facemasks will be obligatory, automatic body temperature readings will be taken, a reduced number of people will work shifts, and there will be adequate distancing in communal areas. Employees at the Milan headquarters and offices will be encouraged to work at home and use digital platforms.
