Cerebrum Sensor Technologies has announced the commercial launch of its intelligent tire solutions, with several vehicle and tire OEMs adopting its solutions. The company’s full suite of technologies uses tire sensors and algorithms to monitor advanced tire conditions such as pressure, temperature, tread health, load, and alignment, among others.

Cerebrum offers a real-time, direct tread depth monitoring solution which can be scaled for use on almost all vehicle tires. It has an accuracy of +/- 1mm, surpassing the accuracy of indirect monitoring solutions.

To date, Cerebrum’s intelligent tire solutions have undergone testing and evaluation during large scale trials conducted with OEMs, fleets and TPMS companies. These pilots have since been converted to commercial programs, delivering benefits such as: improved safety and sustainability by enabling users to monitor the wear and load conditions of their respective vehicle’s tires in real time; increased fuel efficiency, range and vehicle performance; and enhanced asset visibility, enabling OEMs, insurance companies and regulators to match specific tires with vehicles for warranty tracking, accident assessment and more.

“The commercial launch with OEMs represents a major milestone in the global adoption of intelligent tire technology, and we’re proud of the benefits that our ground-breaking technology provides for OEMs, fleets and consumers,” said Keith Ferry, founder and CEO at Cerebrum.
