Having bought three hectares of land near its Nokia factory in June 2022, manufacturer Nokian Tyres has now acquired an additional building on the same site to secure future development opportunities for its factory.

The building, which is based in Pirkkalaistie in Nokia, Finland, has a total floor area of approximately 27,000m2  and is directly connected to the company’s headquarters and factory. Nokian Tyres now owns an estimated 150,000m2  of land in the Pirkkalaistie area.

“We are very pleased to acquire more space for our use. The use of the property has not been decided yet. However, larger spaces allow us more flexibility and opportunities to plan future operations and growth in Nokia,” commented Manu Salmi, executive vice president of heavy tires and the Nokia factory.

The industrial property was purchased from real-estate company Nokian Portti Oy.
