As part of a major expansion plan, Maxam Tire has established a new distribution center in Houston, Texas, with 22,700m2 of floor space. It is the tire manufacturer’s third warehouse in the USA and will be used to support the company’s continued growth.
Much like the company’s existing warehouses in Los Angeles, California and Memphis, Tennessee, the site was chosen to enable Maxam to meet customers’ needs and supply products as efficiently as possible.
Maxam anticipates that the warehouse will be fully operational by the end of March 2023 and will enable the company to improve its service for both dealers and customers.
“Houston, our third warehouse, will have one of the largest [product]assortments of any of our current warehouses, making it easier than ever for customers to receive products when they need them,” explained Derick Efird, national distribution and logistics manager for Maxam Tire.
“Houston is a rapidly expanding and efficient area, with easy access to major ports, interstates and rail systems. This is an exciting time to locate a facility here, and we look forward to becoming a part of this community.”
