Bridgestone has reaffirmed its commitment to the European Pact for Youth, while leaders of the initiative have introduced their third joint proposal, Mainstreaming Entrepreneurship in Learning.

The proposal lays out actions that can be taken to provide young learners with a solid opportunity to develop the transversal and soft skills that are fostered through entrepreneurial education. It further recommends the permanent establishment of a pan-European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning.

Reflecting on Bridgestone’s contribution to the project, Martha White, VP for human resources and CSR, said, “Bridgestone EMEA is committed to supporting the goals of the Pact for Youth and we have demonstrated this through sponsorship of nearly 200 apprenticeships and internships.

“We also focused on attracting new graduates through our One Day with Bridgestone program. Additionally, we are actively partnering with universities and secondary schools to sponsor learning opportunities that will build technical skills, provide coaching and feedback to students, and hopefully improve employability.”
