Omni United has launched an EV tire range under its flagship brand, Radar Tires.

“The launch of our new EV tire ranges represents our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the electric vehicle market,” explained G S Sareen, founder and CEO of Omni United.

“Consumers who used regular tires earlier, either due to non-availability or high costs of EV tires, were getting very low mileage. With our new compound and construction, we have rigorously tested the product for tread wear and are confident that the consumers will get high mileage from these tires.

“We understand the importance of providing tires that are not only thoroughly tested but also exceed in performance attributes when tested against leading tire brands, making premium products accessible to all drivers. With the new EV ranges we continue our commitment to the environment, a cause that we have been supporting since 2013.”

The introduction of the new Radar EV range marks a milestone for Omni United in meeting the evolving needs of the electric vehicle segment. The tire maker continues to invest in research and development and product testing.

The tire maker’s EV line-up now includes this new dedicated EV tire range (the Radar All Season EV), as well as EV-compatible fitments in the Dimax and RPX tire lines.

The EV tire features a new tread compound designed for high mileage and top-of-class safety performance, and also features new structural components that help balance ride comfort, steering feel and low noise.

Performance of the All Season EV has been demonstrated to be comparable to other premium tire brands in a range of testing conditions. Specifically, extensive testing has been conducted to evaluate tread wear performance under the heavier weight and higher torque conditions of electric vehicles. As a result of this testing, the All Season EV comes with a 40,000-mile tread wear warranty (in North America).

The All Season EV is currently available in five popular Tesla fitments, ranging from 18in to 20in rim diameters. Additionally, EV-compatible fitments in the Dimax R8+, Dimax R8 and RPX 800 have been designed to meet the requirements of BEVs and hybrid vehicles in five sizes from 15in to 17in.
